Reviews:

Keeps locks from freezing!
For over 2 decades I tried every type of "weatherproof" and "weather resistant" padlock out there for our outdoor shed. They all froze up in our cold winters due to water penetration and ice forming inside the locks. I bought one of these padlock savers two years ago and put it on our shed to cover just a standard brass lock. It has worked fantastically. Not one freeze up in two winters. I just purchased another one of these to cover the padlock on a small shed I built to house our emergency generator. Highly recommend these. The only reason for 4 vice 5 stars is that the supplied screws are a bit too short (IMHO). One pulled out on our first shed but we had the thickness of door to put in a longer screw. If you have a thin door, you might eventually need to put a bolt through instead of a screw. Also, be sure to use a washer so the screw/bolt head doesn't pull through the rubber.

Early days... I'll give it three stars for now...
Quality feels good, and I don't think it's going to get stiff when the temperature is low. I have two problems with it - the screws that were supplied were not long enough to get a good grip on the wood. I replaced them with longer screws to finish the installation. Secondly, the cutouts are too close to the 'hinge' of the cover which makes it quite awkward to use. I think it will do its job, and I'm glad I got it, but I think it could be better.
