Vella Privacy Policy

This privacy statement describes how "we" (Vella.ca and third parties (Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Google Plus, Twitter, Facebook, and our web host server at BigCommerce.com)) collect and use the personal and non-personal information that you may provide us.
Personal Information
Vella will not share your personal information with any third parties, except:
- As necessary to fulfill your product orders;
- To respond to your communication requests;
- With our payment processor, a Canadian chartered bank; and
- As outlined below under the Information Sharing heading.
When you make a purchase or register for an account on Vella.ca, we collect the following personal information from you:
- Your contact information such as your name, email address, mailing address, phone numbers;
- Your billing information such as credit card number, expiry date, and billing address, if you make a telephone order;
- if you choose to pay online via PayPal, from your PayPal account or with your credit card, and we will not receive your credit card information.
We use this information to:
- Fulfill your order;
- Send you an order confirmation;
- Assess your needs to determine suitable products;
- Send you requested product or service information;
- Send product updates;
- Respond to customer service requests;
- Administer your account;
- Send you a newsletter;
- Send you marketing communications; and
- Improve our web site and marketing efforts
Vella EMAIL CHOICE/OPT-OUT
You may choose to stop receiving our newsletter or marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in those emails or you can contact us using the form below to unsubscribe from marketing email campaigns, should our emails become unwelcome.
Guest Checkout
All eCommerce websites automatically create accounts for all customers, even if you select Guest Checkout, as we are obligated to track every order. If you return to make a purchase after making an initial Guest Checkout, you may click "Sign In" and click on "Forgot your password?" to get a password reset link emailed to your inbox.
We cannot process anonymous orders.
INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM THIRD PARTIES.
If you provide us personal information about others, or if others give us your information, we will only use that information for the specific reason for which it was provided to us, and we will not re-distribute personal information.
INFORMATION SHARING
We will not share your personal information with third parties except in ways that are described in this privacy statement. We will not sell your personal information to third parties.
We may provide your personal information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as processing and shipping your order or offering customer service. COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
Non-personal Information
As is true of most websites, both vella.ca's web hosting servers and Google Analytics automatically collect information about your computer such as your IP address, browser type, referring websites, your landing and exit pages, the length of time that you spend on Vella.ca and your operating system type. We can only access aggregate information; we are unable to determine any personally identifiable information about any particular user. This data is collected from vella.ca's web hosting servers at bigcommerce.com and by Google in the United States of America.
Cookies are used to collect general usage and volume statistical information that does not include personal information. Google may place cookies on your computer to collect non-personally identifiable information to compile aggregated statistics for us about the visitors to our site and they may also use local storage on your browser as newer browsers may permit.
We have implement Google Analytics features that are based on Display Advertising (e.g., Remarketing, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the DoubleClick Campaign Manager integration, or Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting).
Visitors can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using the Ads Settings.
We encourage you to use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on should you wish to opt-out remarketing and demographic based advertising and the associated data collection as you browse the web on Internet in general.
Web beacons
Web pages on vella.ca may contain electronic images known as web beacons, or single-pixel GIFs. These web beacons may be used along with cookies to compile aggregated statistics to analyze how vella.ca is accessed and to let us know whether our marketing emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of our customer communications and marketing campaigns.
