Methyl Hydrate is a multi-purpose and highly flammable thinner used primarily for thinning shellac. This product is not suitable for oil-based products or stains. This versatile product is also appropriate for cleaning brushes that have been used with shellac; Cleaning windows; when mixed with water; Dissolving gums; resins; and celluloid; and as fuel for fondues or marine unpressurized alcohol stoves.
