It achieves superior paint consistency as it blends beautifully with oil-based paints; varnishes and enamels to ensure smooth; even application. Its slow evaporation rate creates a gradual drying time and makes for an excellent thinner for special art finishes and artists’ oil paints. As a brush cleaner; Turpentine is gentle on expensive natural bristles. It is also an essential ingredient in the mixture used to create an antique oiled finish on fine furniture.
